Hello, Hello!!!!
Nutrition is an ever-changing world. Every year there are new trends, popular diets and
supplements that promise to be the ultimate solution to lose weight or improve our
health. And while it's exciting to discover the latest fashions, it's always important to remember that the most important thing to remember is not to follow a trend, but to listen to your body and understand what it really needs to be at its best.
Today I want to talk to you about some of the current trends in nutrition that are making
waves, but I also want to remind you of something fundamental: nutrition is not a one-
size-fits-all mould. What works for one person won't necessarily be best for another, and finding what makes you feel good, what gives you energy and what allows you to maintain a healthy weight is what really matters.
1. Keto diet: Is it for everyone?
The ketogenic, or keto, diet has gained enormous popularity. The promise of rapid
weight loss by cutting carbs and increasing healthy fats sounds tempting. But is it for
everyone? Not necessarily. While some people find excellent results, it's important to remember that extreme carbohydrate restriction may not be sustainable for everyone. If you decide to try it, it is best to do so under the supervision of a health professional,
making sure that your body receives all the nutrients it needs. In the ketogenic diet you
must be very conscious, do not overindulge in excess fats, no matter how ‘good’ they
are, and consume enough vegetables, as fibre protects our body.
2. Intermittent Fasting: More than a fad
Intermittent fasting has changed the way we think about food. It is not so much a diet
as an eating strategy that alternates periods of fasting with periods of food consumption.
Many people have reported feeling more energy and control over their appetite.
However, not everyone responds well to this type of eating pattern. Listen to your body:
if you feel good and full of vitality, this may be an option for you. If you feel like you lack
energy or it causes anxiety, it's not the right way to go. I have been practicing
intermittent fasting for about 4 years now and I really love it, but I started to apply it by
gradient, 12 hours - 14 hours - 16 hours - 18 hours, and I have even gone up to 36 or
more, but with medical supervision and advice.
3. Plant-Based: A conscious lifestyle
Plant-based diets have gained momentum, not only for their health benefits, but also for
their positive impact on the environment. Filling your plate with fruits, vegetables, whole
grains and plant-based proteins is a great way to nourish your body, but, as with
everything, it´s important to do it right. It's not just about cutting out meat or animal products, but making sure you're getting all the nutrients you need, such as iron, vitamin B12 and omega-3s. If you decide to follow a plant-based diet, be sure to consult a
nutritionist to keep your health in balance.
4. Superfoods: Are they really super?
Every year there seems to be a new superfood on the market, from turmeric to chia
seeds. And while many of them have wonderful properties, remember that there is no
magic food. The key is to maintain a varied and balanced diet. Incorporating
superfoods into your daily routine can be beneficial, but they should not replace a
complete diet. Eating a balanced diet is still the best way to maintain optimal health. I
eat superfoods as part of my conscious eating, but none of them replace any other food,
they only complement it.
5. Personalise your nutrition: What works for you
This is, without a doubt, the most important trend to follow: personalisation. Every body
is unique, and what works for your friend, colleague or someone on social media may
not necessarily be the best for you. Listen to your body, consult with health
professionals and find a way of eating that not only makes you feel good, but is
sustainable in the long term. The key is not to look for a quick fix, but a lifestyle that
allows you to enjoy your food, maintain a healthy weight and feel energised every day.
Mindful eating is the basis for a healthy life.
Healthy weight: What really matters
At the end of the day, it´s not about following a trend, it's about maintaining a healthy weight that allows you to live your life fully and happily. Don't be swayed by extreme diets or plans that promise quick results. True success lies in consistency, in choosing foods that nourish your body and make you feel good, and in finding a balance between what you eat and how you live.
The path to optimal health is a unique process for each person, so listen to your body.
Remember, you are the protagonist of your own life and no one knows better than you
what makes you feel good.
Go for conscious, balanced, wellness-filled nutrition! Remember to always decide for
your health.
Bye, Bye!!!
