Hello hello..!!!
I want to talk to you about fibromyalgia, a silent enemy, I will tell you my personal story,
when pain became my inseparable companion. A diffuse, persistent pain that spread
throughout my body without any explanation, since they were diffuse and clouded my
life.
At first, I attributed it to stress, the exhausting routine, the demands of work. But the
pain didn't go away, it only got worse.
Every day was a battle against fatigue, muscle stiffness, headaches and the feeling of
being trapped in a box. Furthermore, not knowing what was happening to me made any
symptom worse. I always hid how bad I felt, because I never wanted to. stress or worry
my family and friends.
Denial and search:
The diagnosis of fibromyalgia hit me like a bomb. A name for my suffering, but not a
solution. The fear of the side effects of the medications led me to reject traditional
treatment and I began a tireless search for alternatives, consulting doctors, therapists,
looking for natural remedies. Hope was my compass, and despite how bad I felt I never
lost hope, because I never wanted to be a sick person.
A fortuitous meeting with a neurologist (the father of a friend from my children's school) changed the course of my story. A cervical MRI revealed the cause of my pain: cervical
rectification and inflammation compressing my nerves. I now had an explanation that
seemed logical to me.
I decided to take control of my health.
I radically changed my lifestyle. I incorporated daily exercise, from walking to running
half marathons, strengthening my muscles with strength routines and adopted a healthy
diet rich in nutrients and green juices. Adaptogenic plants, with their relaxing and anti-
inflammatory properties, became my allies. I want to give to all those people who have been diagnosed with this condition,
don't lose hope:
Fibromyalgia does not define who you are. It is a challenge, but not a sentence. Don't let pain control your mind. Take action, look for alternatives, never give up. Willpower and discipline are your most powerful weapons.
