Hello, hello...!

January is the perfect time to start afresh, to set our goals and, above all, to commit to ourselves. We tell ourselves that this will be the year that we will really take care of our health, that we will be consistent, that we will move forward with discipline and willpower.

But how often do our thoughts work against us?

Those intrusive thoughts that pop up unbidden, telling us that we can't, that it's not worth it, that we've failed before. It's time to learn to deal with them and take control!

Our mind has incredible power over our actions. If our thoughts are full of doubts, fears, and self-criticism, the road to a healthier life can become uphill. However, managing

these thoughts does not mean ignoring or suppressing them, but learning to observe

them without letting them dominate us. Here are some strategies to make your mind

your best ally in this new year:

1. Acknowledge your thoughts without judgment: When you feel those negative

thoughts popping up, observe them. Give them space without judging yourself.

Acknowledging that they are there without fighting them is already an important step.

  1. Question the veracity of those thoughts: Ask yourself if what you are thinking is

true - is it true that you can't make it, or is it just a voice from the past trying to

hold you back? Challenge those thoughts and remember that you have the power to

decide whether or not to believe them.

  1. Focus on your ‘why’: When discipline is tested, remind yourself why you decided to

take care of your health. Being clear about your purpose will help you stay on track,

even when negative thoughts try to sidetrack you.

4. Practice positive affirmations: Replace intrusive thoughts with empowering

affirmations. Phrases such as ‘I am capable of taking care of myself’ or ‘I am getting

closer to my best self every day’ can help you reprogram your mind.

  1. Don't be afraid to ask for help: Talking to someone you trust or practising meditation

can be valuable tools for managing those thoughts. You are not alone on this journey,

and it is normal to need a push from time to time.

  1. Be compassionate with yourself: There will be days when everything flows, and

others when thoughts challenge you more. Don't beat yourself up when you fall, but remember that progress is not linear and that every little effort adds up.

Remember, real change begins in our minds. Managing intrusive thoughts will not only

allow you to move towards your goals, but also to live with an inner peace and clarity

that will reflect a fuller, healthier life. This 2025, give yourself the gift of cultivating an

allied mind and a heart full of determination.

Let's conquer this new year together with discipline, willpower, and a peaceful mind!

Bye, bye...!!!!!
